NFL betting odds for Sunday’s AFC East showdown between Miami and New York are backing the Jets to redeem themselves after their Week 5 loss, and the Dolphins are trying to get over a massive collapse.

Dolphins vs Jets odds – Sunday, November 1, 1:00 PM ET

The Dolphins (2-4) lost a 24-3 lead, falling 46-34 at home against New Orleans in a sloppy affair that featured seven turnovers. Miami ran for 137 yards, while Chad Henne was 18-of-36 for 211 yards and two picks, and the defense was just terrible in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter when they gave up 16 points. One of Henne’s picks were ran back 54 yards for a score to end the game, which took a sure online betting win away from the Dolphins.

The Jets (4-3) ran for 316 yards in a 38-0 mauling of Oakland on the road, and the duo of Shonn Greene and Thomas Jones tore the Raiders apart. Greene ran for 144 yards and two scores, while Jones followed up his career 210-yard day with another 121 yards and a major, which means Mark Sanchez didn’t have to do very much. After throwing five picks in an overtime loss to Buffalo, Sanchez was 9-of-15 for 143 yards and a touchdown, and the most important thing about the game was to get the rookie some confidence again. He’d better step it up, because the Yankees are the consensus among World Series picks, and the Jets don’t want to get lost in the New York shuffle.

Sportsbook odds have the Jets as a 3-point favorite at home, and they’ll be eager to avenge a 31-27 loss in Miami on Monday night in Week 5. The Dolphins ran for 151 yards, and the two combined for 35 points in a wild fourth quarter. Look for the Jets to throw countless blitzes at Henne, who was 20-of-26 for 241 yards and two touchdowns in that game, but he may be rattled by his performance against New Orleans. The Jets also didn’t run much in that game, and Jones and/or Greene will surely be utilized more this Sunday. Take the Jets to get their revenge in style this weekend.

Online betting pick: New York -3
