Nick Diaz To Fight GSP

When I got word that Nick Diaz was in Las Vegas and meeting with Dana White I knew it was just a matter of time. Now its official, Nick Diaz will challenge the number 1 welterweight on the planet Georges St. Pierre. This will be the first time a Strikeforce fighter will come over to challenge for a UFC title. The bout will take place in Las Vegas at UFC 137, and it is confirmed that the fight WILL be for the GSP’s title.

Diaz is coming back to the UFC and is currently 6-4 under the UFC banner. Diaz hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2006, but he hasn’t lost since 2008. He is currently the Strikeforce welterweight champion, and has defended it four times. GSP is currently 22-2 and 16-2 in the UFC, and is arguably one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. He has also defended the welterweight UFC title 6 times.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 13 Final Set

After the conclusion of last nights The Ultimate Fighter 13, the final fight is set to see who wins the UFC 6 figure contract. Ramsey Nijem and Tony Ferguson will meet this Saturday at the TUF 13 Season Finale, that will feature a fight between Anthony Showtime Pettis and Clay Guida. Also, the UFC has made official for the televised main card a bout pitting losing semifinalists Chris Cope and Chuck O’Neil against each other. Two other fights featuring Shamar Bailey vs. Ryan McGillivray and Justin Edwards vs. Clay Harvison have also been scheduled for Saturday night.

Strikeforce: Fedor Vs Henderson

Strikeforce has made it official, Fedor Emelianenko and Dan Henderson will face off in Chicago, IL on July 30. Fedor Emelianenko was undefeated before losing his last two fights, and now Light heavyweight Strikeforce champion Henderson will meet him in the cage in a fight that might be his last.
