Plenty of baseball betting on tap at sportsbooks on Sunday, and we’ll look at a National League game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Washington Nationals.  Washington has scrapped to a winning record early on, while Milwaukee has stumbled out of the gate and is currently 5th in the NL Central.

We’re not ready to proclaim the Nationals postseason contenders, but their 6-5 start is pretty impressive considering that 6 of their first 11 games have been against the Philadelphia Phillies who have one of the best records in baseball.   The Nats dominated the Brewers yesterday behind another lights out performance from Livan Hernandez, who has yet to allow an earned run in two starts this season.  Washington also improved to 4-2 against left handed pitching, good for 5 units of profit.

Jason Marquis is a competent pitcher, but hasn’t look very sharp in his first few games in DC since coming over from Colorado in the offseason.  Then again, he’s gotten to face the Philadelphia Phillies twice.  We’ll back the undervalued Nationals here–they’re the team in better form and we’ll keep an eye on their performance against lefthanded pitching.  If they continue to hit southpaws well it could be a profitable concept that we can use for the rest of the season.

Bet Washington (Marquis) -110 over Milwaukee (Davis)
