Sportsbooks offering a big card of action today including NBA, NHL and baseball betting opportunities.  We’ll take a look at a National League game between the Florida Marlins and Houston Astros.  Astros have rebounded somewhat from their rough start, and have won 4 straight.  Marlins have scrapped to a winning record in the early going and due to Philadelphia’s recent swoon are back in the mix challenging for the lead in the NL East.

Houston may not end up being among the all time worst teams in baseball, but we expect them to struggle this season.  They’ve got some decent pitching but serious question marks in the bullpen combined with a sputtering offense.  The Astros are currently dead last in team batting average, 30 points off the NL average.  Despite their recent winning streak they’re still 2-6 on the year at Minute Maid Field and are already -3.8 units at home on the season.

Florida has historically been known for top flight pitching, but the current team can hit the ball.  Marlins currently rank 5th in the NL in team batting average and will be anxious to salvage the last game of the series after dropping the first two.  Pitching matchup is statistically even, with both teams’ hurlers struggling so far but we expect Sanchez to find a groove sooner rather than later.  Florida was a great investment on the road last season (+16.05 units) and at a decent price in this game they’re definitely the value play.

Bet Florida (Sanchez) -105 over Houston (Paulino)
