Good sized slate of baseball betting opportunities at this online sportsbook on Thursday, and we’ll head to the National League as the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Milwaukee Brewers. Both teams are 11-4 on the year pending the outcome of Wednesday night’s game, and in the Dodgers case at least that’s something of a surprise.

Dodgers something of a strange case, as they’ve played well at home this season (7-4) but have stunk it up on the road (4-11). One thing the Dodgers can do well is hit the ball–they’re tied for the league lead in team batting average with San Francisco at .278. Against RHP, they’re hitting .292 and averaging over 6 runs per game. Dave Bush’s road numbers look good with a 2.25 but that came against a couple of weak hitting teams (San Diego and Pittsburgh). Overall he’s got a 4.60 ERA and the Brewers have lost 4 of his 5 starts.
John Ely wasn’t particularly impressive in his first start of the season, but at least he gives us a reasonable price to work with here. This game will go to the bullpens, where the Dodgers have a marginally better YTD ERA. Overall, we’ll take the better team and one that has played well at home this year at a reasonable price. Neither starting pitcher will end up deciding the outcome, and the Dodgers simply have more upside than Milwaukee.
