A little comic relief today in the MMA world. Now that Fedor Emelianenko has posted up his second consecutive loss, many people are asking themselves why? Including Fedor’s camp. Fedor’s coach Vladimir Voronov, who once said he saw a halo around Fedor’s head and referred to him as “the chosen one” had an interesting explanation.

You may want to put on your tin foil hat. He said “We believe that forbidden psychological technology was used. It seems to us that not everything was right, and that certain technologies were used. Not ones that could be seen by the naked eye but psychological technologies that worked on both fighters at a distance. That is why during the fight Fedor was just not like himself. It seemed very strange behavior from Fedor. He stepped into the ring and did everything exactly the opposite of what we practiced before the fight. We were all shocked! Fedor had never previously done such a thing.”

I’m a pretty staunch skeptic, so this type of crazy is really funny to me. Now Fedor’s camp is now saying these were statements that were lost in translation, and the website who ran them was just having a laugh at their expense.

This may be true, but before the word was out that this could be a joke, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva’s manager (Alex Davis) decided to come clean. He went on the mixedmartialarts.com forum, commonly referred to as the “UG” (Underground,) and posted this: “Jeez!! I got [caught!] I will have to come out with the truth now! I hired a Macumbeiro (Brazilian witch doctor) and we killed a black chicken on the crossroads. After this, over a few beers, I showed the witch doctor Fedor’s fights, and he was worried that a chicken wouldn’t be enough, so we went out and killed a black goat just to make sure! Very potent stuff! Really messed Fedor’s brain waves up! We wanted to try that other military stuff Voronov is talking about, but it’s expensive technology and we were broke! The chicken and the goat came out way cheaper. Witch doctor is a friend; [he] did it for a few beers and an autograph!”

Fedor, who is now 31-3(1 no contest), hadn’t lost a fight in nearly ten years before he lost to Febricio Werdum in June of last year. Fedor was a clear a favorite in the fight against Silva, and a favorite to win the tournament to some, when he lost his first round fight of Strikeforce’s Heavyweight Grand Prix. He took a heavy beating from Silva in the second round, and took so much damage to his eye that the ringside doctor decided he couldn’t continue to fight in the third round. Fedor even talked of retiring in the cage after the fight, but has since taken a step back and is now saying he will continue to fight.

Well Bigfoot Silva was previously caught on Steriods so why not use it again when your fighting the #1 guy

Did you read the article? Silva was accused of using *brain waves* to mess with Fedor’s mind.

“Macumbeiro” doesn’t have beer on that sort of “macumba” (santeria, spell). They have “Pinga” or “Cachaça”, a spirit made by cane of sugar. Have I said spirit? Ok….I meant: a destilated made by cane of sugar.
P.S :last paragraph: the correct name is “Fabricio”, not “Febricio”.
