Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelianenko have verbally agreed to fight outside of Chicago, and the date is looking to be July 30. This will be Fedor’s return after being eliminated from the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix, and Henderson is coming off winning the 205lb title. I am hearing there is talk of a catchweight at 220 pounds, but I don’t know if thats the case. It certainly won’t be for the 205lb title, but it could be a good fight depending on what Fedor show up. I can’t imagine Dan wanting to stand and trade with him, but Henderson has said in the past that he always wanted to fight Fedor.

Now that Jason Miller has signed with the UFC some information has come to light about why he sat on the shelf for so long. It turned out that Showtime/CBS had issued a lifetime ban on Jason Miller, and he would not be allowed to fight on any of their main cards. The kicker is, they never told Jason that part. He did serve a suspension because of his part in the now infamous Nashville brawl, but now Miller is saying he is a little pissed off that he wasted a year of his career when he was always “waiting for the call.”

Damon Martin from MMAweekly is reporting that Evan Dunham is pulling out of his UFC 132 bout with George Sotiropolous. The nature of the injury is not yet known, but it is said to be serious enough to keep him out of training for least 2-3 weeks and possibly more. Sotiropolous will most likely get a new opponent, but Dunham was coming off of two losses. One of them was the business end of a screw job versus Sean Sherk at UFC 119. I’ll report more when we hear about the condition of the injury.

Paulo Thiago is set to fight David Mitchel in Brazil At UFC 134. Thiago exploded on the UFC scene winning three of four fights, but has dropped his last two. Thiago now faces a possible most win situation for the Brazilian, but I always had the opinion the UFC thinks highly of him and may give him multiple chances. Mitchel is a Tahichi Palace standout who opened his career with 11 straight wins, but he dropped his first fight in the promotion versus JT Waldburg.
