Thursdays-Strikeforce-Challengers-17-Weigh-ins-Opening-its-Doors-to-Public

Strikeforce held their first card in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday night at the Pearl At The Palms. Strikeforce Challengers 17 was broadcast live on Showtime, and the card turned out to be a solid one.

The Main Event was the third fight in a trilogy between Bobby Voleker and Roger Bowling and it ended in exciting fashion when Voelker landed a solid knee to the chin that dazed Bowling. After that, it only took a few punches from back mount to put Bowling away and give Voelker the TKO victory.

In the Co-Main Event, Devin Cole fought Shawn Jordan who took the fight on 3 days notice. Hats off to Jordan for making it a fight, and coming in to put it all on the line. The two fought all three rounds, and it was Cole who ended up with the unanimous decision. I am sure Shawn Jordan earned a fan or two from a fight that was close to being called off.
