The Red Wings struggled in the first period of game one, but came back to make it a competitive affair.  We expected them to have trouble with the quick turnaround from the Phoenix series necessitated by a rock concert at the HP Pavilion, but make no mistake they’ve got a very good chance of winning this series.  We expect an entirely different dynamic in Game 2 and look for Detroit to come out rested and ready.  The head to head games between San Jose and Detroit have been very close in recent years, with a 14-14 record in the last 28 in San Jose.  More recently, the Wings have won 4 of the last 7 in California.  Detroit won 3 of 4 regular season games this year, including both in San Jose.  In other words, they know they can contend with this team on enemy ice and they’re the value side.

We’ll also play the game Over the total.  Even against the defensive minded Coyotes, only one of the 7 games went Under the total with 4 Over and 2 push.  Both teams can score and there’s a long history of high scoring games in the head to head online betting matchups.  Although 3 of the 4 regular season games played Under, 8 of the last 12 head to head have gone Over including 6 of the last 7 in San Jose.
