Free NBA Picks: Miami @ Oklahoma City

A big day for betting on sports on Saturday, and we’ll get started with pro basketball where there are eight games on the board for your NBA betting enjoyment. The Miami Heat are finally at the end of a brutal six game West Coast road trip and they’ll finish up Saturday night in Oklahoma City against the Thunder. OKC has become a very solid NBA team as Kevin Durant has matured into one of the most consistent scoring threats in the game.

The Heat have generally had a successful road trip and can finish no worse than 3-3 on their six game swing. They enter this game off of back to back wins over Golden State and Houston, but could be feeling some fatigue after playing their sixth road game in the past nine days. They also played last night against Houston and may be thinking that OKC is a relatively ‘easy’ stop on their trip. Dwyane Wade has been playing through a pretty serious wrist sprain, though hasn’t missed any playing time.

The Thunder are holding their own this season in the tough Western Conference and are currently just 1/2 game out of the 8th and final playoff spot. Like many teams in the West, they’ve taken advantage of the qualitative disparity between the conferences this season and have laid waste to their Eastern Conference opponents. Oklahoma City is 13-4 SU/12-5 ATS against Eastern Conference teams this year including a 5-1 SU/ATS mark against the Southeast Division. The Heat haven’t hurt their mark against the Western Conference on this road trip, though they have failed to cover in 7 of their last 11 games against the West. The Thunder lost a tough one point decision to Dallas last night and we’ll lo0k for a big effort here as they try to keep pace with the rest of the playoff aspirants in the Western Conference.
