NBA Betting Free Picks: Memphis @ Orlando

After sportsbooks focused on college basketball for Saturday we’re back to NBA betting for Sunday with an inter conference matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic. Memphis just playing for pride at this point since all 8 Western Conference playoff spots have been filled. Orlando has a relatively firm grasp on second place in the East.

We expect to see Orlando take it easy until the playoffs begin, but they could get more than they bargained for from a Memphis team that has really picked up the level of their play on the road lately. Grizzlies have won and covered 12 of their last 16 games on the road. Orlando only 1-2-1 ATS in their last four home games, and with two games against overmatched teams (New York and Washington on deck) you could see a lack of intensity from the Magic figuring they can just phone in a performance and win three straight. That might be true with the Knicks and Wizards, but definitely not Memphis. Grizz have done very well against the spread in their matchups with Orlando of late–Memphis won and covered at home earlier this year and covered in a narrow loss in the last trip to Florida. Overall, Memphis has won 3 of the L5 meetings outright covering 4 of 5. They’ve covered two straight in Orlando and 8 of the L12 on the Magic’s home court. Magic will probably salvage the outright win, but we look for the Grizzlies to keep it well within the generous pointspread.
