We’ve got a position to bet on sports on a short pro hockey schedule for Sunday. The Anaheim Ducks head to the United Center to take on the league leading Chicago Blackhawks. The Ducks have struggled much of this season but their fortunes should improve with the return of Teemu Selane to the lineup.

Chicago has relied on their defense for much of the season, but now the Blackhawks are starting to get their offense going as well . They’ve scored four or more goals in nine straight games now, and have gone Over in seven of their last eight contests. They’re off a shootout loss last night against Minnesota in which the two teams combined for 11 goals. That was only the Blackhawks’ third loss in their last 14 games.
The Ducks totals record is just about even with 22 Over and 23 Under. They’ve picked up their scoring of late, scoring 4 or more goals in eight of their last nine games, with 6 Overs and a push during that run. The Ducks ranked 12th in goals per game, and Selane’s return will help their scoring all the more. He got a goal in his first game back from injury last night. The Ducks score a lot and give up a lot of goals, and Chicago will gladly play that style right along with them. 3 of the last 5 meetings at the United Center have gone Over and we look for this one to do the same.
