Patrick Kane Is back
The Chicago Blackhawks are really hoping that Patrick Kane back in the line up. Although the hawks have managed to win their last four games, they have been dealing with a string of bad luck in the injury department. Marian Hossa just returned Sunday night in a game against the St. Louis Blues. Kane has been out since December 5, when he tried to dodge a check by Calgary Defenseman Cory Sarich. He injured his left ankle has been out for three weeks. There was a rumor he would be back last week, but Coach Quenneville said Kane aggravated the injury and wouldn’t play. Barring any more setbacks, The Blackhawks could be back to full strength tonight.

The Assist Of The Year

Check out this PERFECT pass from LA Kings Anze Kopitar to Dustin Brown. From now on, when someone asks you about a perfect rainbow pass in hockey, your answer needs to contain the word Kopitar. This play easily swoops in and get the assist of the year award. The Kings went on to beat the San Jose Sharks 4-0. Brown of course gets the goal, and nets his 16th of the season. I could watch this pass all day.

Daniel Cleary Out For 4-5 Weeks.

While everyone is out celebrating Osgood’s 400th win on Monday night, Daniel Cleary is still recovering from Sunday’s win over Minnesota. News has come out that Cleary will miss at least a month, as he has fractured his left ankle. Cleary scored his 16th goal on Sunday, but he left the game when a puck shot from his teammate hit his foot. Cleary tried to return to the ice for a power play, but the injury was worse then he thought. Cleary told reporters “I was hoping it was a bad bruise, I didn’t know what was going on. It was sore, but I knew after the game, something was wrong. I’m really upset about it, I don’t know what to say. No bright side. Just, four or five weeks, make sure I get back to playing the way I was, that’ll be the goal.”

The Wings are already dealing with a pile of injuries. Pavel Datsyuk and Mike Modano are both out with hand/wrist fractures. Niklas Kronwall feels will really mis the stick of Cleary on the ice, He said “I don’t think Cleary really maybe gets the credit he deserves. He’s doing a really, really good job for us, and I think he’s been one of our most important guys so far. He’s one of our leaders. It’s tough to lose him.”
