It’s been a forgettable season for the Minnesota Timberwolves. At 17-54, they have the second worst record in the league and have won only once inside their division. The lone bright spot has been All-Star forward Kevin Love, who leads them in scoring at 20.3 and rebounding at 15.4. Unfortunately for Love, his sensational season could beĀ  over after suffering a strained left groin.

Love was hurt last Sunday and has yet to practice since. Head coach Kurt Rambis revealed he could be shelved for the final ten games, although nothing has been confirmed as Love undergoes treatment.

It’s been a breakout season for Love, who leads the league in rebounding and reeled off a 53-game double-double streak that ended on March 13. He’s played only six games in which he hasn’t recorded a double-double, and notched 31-31 versus the Knicks on November 12. He also earned his first All-Star invite, scoring 2 points and grabbing 4 boards in 11 minutes.

Love will continue to rest his ailing groin and might be available for Sunday’s game versus Boston if he recovers in time.
