Brett-Favre-Vikings

Brett Favre’s annual game of cat and mouse took another interesting turn on Thursday. The maybe Vikings quarterback took a plane to Pensacola, Florida to meet with famed orthopedist Dr. James Andrews, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Favre’s surgically repaired ankle still isn’t 100%, or so we have been led to believe. With Favre, it’s impossible to know with any certainty what the hell is going through his head, but it’s safe to surmise that if his ankle is healed, then he’ll come back. If it’s not, he’ll still come back, but might miss a couple regular season games. One thing remains a constant: Favre wants nothing to do with training camp.

Meanwhile, the Vikings and lame duck starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson go about their daily business in preparation for an upcoming season that might not, but more than likely will, include #4 under center. It seems as if the team, fans and media are numb to all the Favre drama. And by media, I mean every outlet not named ESPN. The Worldwide Leader continues to firmly attach its lips to Brett’s behind.

It wouldn’t be August without Favre holding the league hostage with his diva-like antics. He might be an enormous ass, but the NFL will miss him when he finally does call it quits for good — sometime in 2015.
